Meet Our Wedding Designers
Bachman’s wedding department dates back to 1920 when Albert Bachman started transitioning the company from growing vegetables to flowers. Albert’s wife Olga did all of the original wedding designs. Without any formal training, she created beautiful flowers by referring to magazine pictures for inspiration. It's that sort of creativity and ingenuity that continues today with our wedding designers!

Leah Schmidt, manager of the wedding team, has an extensive background that includes lead wedding designer, account manger and wholesale representative. Her passion for the world of flowers and plants will be apparent when you speak to her or meet her in person. She loves using her experience to transform ideas into reality.
Scott Ellingboe is a certified member of the American Institute of Floral Design (AIFD) with 28 years experience. His designs are regularly seen in magazines, television shows, and community events. Passionate about his work, Scott loves to wow his clients with creative designs that make them smile.
Jolie Lillie attended the Mid-America School of Floral Design in Kansas City and continued with her floral career at Bachman’s for the last 20 years. She enjoys bold color combinations and stays current on wedding floral trends.
Karen Ortiz has over 25 years in the floral design industry, most of which she's spent at Bachman's. The 2010 Koehler & Dramm Professional Floral Artist of the Year and third place winner in the Best Interpretation category at Art in Bloom, Karen also serves as a judge in floral design competitions.
Lynn Payette majored in Studio Arts at the University of Minnesota and now has over 25 years of floral experience at Bachman's, specializing in weddings. Brides have floated way in hot air balloons at a Wizard of Oz wedding and have stood in the wind on top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, all holding her bouquets. Lynn believes that wedding flowers should be fun and she has fun doing them!
Lindsey Reynolds studied Professional Floral Design at Hennepin Technical College and has worked in the Twin Cities with industry-leading design teams for the last 8 years. Working with traditional, European and modern designs she has the creativity and knowledge to help you define your own personal bridal style. You'll find Lindsey is just as excited as you are to begin designing the dream bouquet for your big day.
